Corsair: The money didn't go ANYWHERE. It never existed in the first place. Its just like check kiting, you deposit $100 in one bank write a check against it for $100 and deposit it in another bank and then write a check against that and deposit it in the first bank. Now you have $200 dollars showing so you borrow against the $200 dollars before the checks catch up with each other and you've doubled your money. Now complicate this by a million times and keep it all moving and you can see how $100 could become a million without there being any REAL value added. Now if one of the jugglers drops the ball, the entire house of cards comes crashing down and when the dust clears $999,900 just evaporates because it never existed in the first place.

I feel extremely blessed this Thanksgiving Day. I can only regret that I failed to remember to take pictures. I truly hope that your Thanksgiving Day was a good one. Not everyone has the ability to take a step back and realize what he/she has to be thankful for you know.

Pathetic Hope and Dreams

As one of today's modern-day-slaves I have found one of the cheapest ways to purchase hopes and dreams. For a lousy buck you can purchase a couple of nights worth of high hopes dreaming of being financially wealthy. Its nothing new really. People have been religiously buying lottery tickets for years. I think that if you do it too often however, you'll effectively kill the miraculous dreaming of the like that I experience. I'm not the kind of player that really expects to win so you won't find me dropping anything more than a single dollar during any game play period. That dollar however gets me night after night dreaming of all the things I could do with the winnings. New car, school and even financial planning to retain the wealth the lottery could bring. In the process of being rich I had developed ways to create cheaper energy and provide an even more intricate plan for making those around me wealthy. Its dreams worth having. Its still pathetic though.

For several months now I've been holding my breath for an opportunity to enjoy life again with employment that won't make me feel so much like a modern day slave. I had an interview on the 6th and I guess I didn't do as well as I had thought. The $200 suit I guess didn't 'seal the deal' like it was supposed to and I had the displeasure in reading the 'thank you but no thank you' email this morning as I woke up. I've been going to church lately and I think I'm going to dicontinue that practice. I found myself blaming all the world's short comings on god. He couldn't possibly be simply good from my obervations anyway. So I'm back to the grind in a dead end job that sucks my life away at an alarming rate. My goal now is to try to find a way to save as much money as I can without making my wife leave me and invest it towards something that will hopefully fruit an income stream that will rival my slave job. Knowing me however, I'll never be happy. I bought a lottery ticket today.

Since I have long commutes I've been slowly getting back into ham radio. There's a group of guys I've been listening to that seem friendly enough to start getting geeky again.

I find it amazing that I have so much to write about and so little time to actually pull it off. I'm used the exact opposite! I guess I'm going to have to take up microblogging. You know, that's where I write little tidbits. Oh yeah, that's kinda what I have been doing huh? Well sorta. I couldn't have picked a worse time to move to GA. The economy is still bombing despite what the media is saying and there are still over 300,000 people actively looking for work. Prices are getting higher for everything and I'm finding the money I need to stay law abiding hard to come by. We renewed both vehicles registration in California to avoid the almost unreasonable valerum tax I'll have to pay when I register them here. Money and time seem to be the only thing I'm really missing right now. I guess I've never been happy with my income level however not having time is a new misfortune I'll have to get used to appearantly.
